We had a fantastic time staying at Pennygate Lodge. The Calgary room was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet, with a stunning view of the garden leading to the sea. Matthew and the team provided exceptional service, making our anniversary feel extra special with a handwritten card and delicious chocolates. The cozy guest lounge was the perfect place to relax with hot chocolate after exploring the island, and the breakfasts were simply delicious.
Limited tea tray supplies could be improved.

Not perfect, but worth it
The stunning location with beautiful sea views and a lovely garden provided a perfect backdrop. The culinary experience surpassed expectations, with the chef serving imaginative dishes that were beautifully presented.
Service inconsistencies emerged, particularly regarding meal reservation handling and promptness in addressing requests during busy periods which overshadowed some moments.

The homemade yogurt at breakfast was a delightful touch, and the staff's friendly service enhanced the overall experience. the limited tea tray supplies and a sometimes inconsistent room temperature detracted slightly from an otherwise enjoyable stay.
